The staff at Theo Beach Hotel Apartments is very thoughtful. the room was well-appointed and had a balcony with two double beds. - the breakfast was savoury, healthy, and offered a lot of food. - the hotel's location is really close to Crete, the promenade, the sea, restaurants, and the center.

The two bedroom apartment (=one bedroom + living room with 2 single beds) was very nice, clean, spacious, and comfortable and there were 2 balconies. The Theo Hotel is very well situated and not too far from Rethymnon centre and the old town.
The bathroom was of a lower standard than the rest of the apartment. We were expecting a real inner pool, which would have been nice because the weather was cold (mid-April 2011) but the pool was actually outside, just partly covered by a ceiling. Finding a parking place for a rented car might not be very simple during the high season...

I liked the very unique building of this stunningly beautiful hotel and its top location. The breakfast offered variety of food and was healthy. The room was well-equipped with comfortable beds and a safe, coffee/tea making equipment, and television etc: )

Location
The fotos on the web site are not the standard rooms, not all rooms have sea view, the pool is small, bed sheets had holes.. Definately not a 4* hotel

Nice friendly Family Run Hotel, English Speaking. Gave good advice on loxal Restaurants and had their own Beach Facility opposite. Good Breakfast.
Noisy Late Night main seafront road which local Police could do more to control! Scooters, Motorbikes and Boyracers after say midnight, just showing off. Not just our Hotel but many others too.

The Management and staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. They spoke good English and were able to assist us when required. They could not do enough for us and having a supermarket on site was great. They allowed us to stay in the room until 6pm on the day of departure without any fuss and provided a safe key free of charge. The hotel is on a busy main road, over a supermarket facing the beach so there were plenty of restaurants and bars and the beach was very close. The pool at Back of hotel was small but clean though the surroundings weren't great. We had two balconies but these only looked out onto other apartments. There was plenty of room in the apartment but it was basic, though clean and functional.
We booked a Two bed apartment. They don't have two bed apartments at Theo beach, they class two bed apartments as a one bed with two single beds in the living/dining room. The toilet and shower were off the lounge so it was inconvenient using the loo at night. Fridge made a lot of noise at night so it disturbed our daughter who had to sleep in the dining area. They did offer us another single room free of charge but this was at the back o the ground floor and my daughter wasn't comfortable with this so we declined. Beds were extremely hard and the one pillow provided per guest was hard and lumpy and we often found sleeping difficult. There were pots and pans provided but no dish cloth, tea towel or washing up liquid so self catering would incur additional costs. Towels were dated and frayed but exchanged daily. Fridge had a storage fault and items fell out of the door shelves onto the floor on a regular basis. There was no allocated parking. Instead the management would save us a space in the road outside, often parking us on a corner which at best was risky. The shower was hand held but there was plenty of hot water and although the floor was constantly wet the bathroom was functional and clean, though toilet paper had to be placed in a basket after use.
